The St. Lawrence County Planning Office is accepting applications through May 30 to add property to Agricultural Districts 1 and 2.

The purpose of agricultural districts is to protect farmland and related activities.

District 1 is in the western and southern part of the county; district 2 includes northern and eastern areas. Both contain more than 590,000 acres.

Applications must include the tax parcel number, acreage and a description.

Blank forms are available at municipal offices, by calling the Planning Office at 379-2292 or at www.co.st-lawrence.ny.us/Departments/Planning/AgDistrictMap.
