HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELDROME Skylar Pastor won the 200- and 400-meter dashes and tied for seventh place in the high jump to help lead the South Jefferson girls track and field team to fourth place finish out of 23 teams on Saturday at the Rome Invitational.
Bethlehem scored 120 points to easily capture the team title, while South Jefferson finished with 36 points. South Lewis tallied 30 points for sixth place, and Canton (29) tied for seventh place with two other schools.
Victoria Campanian of South Lewis captured the 2,000 steeplechase and was fifth in the 1,500, while teammate Sara Young took first in the pole vault.
Laura Pierce of Canton finished first in the 3,000, and she anchored both the second-place 1,600 sprint medley relay and the third-place 1,600 relay.
Kerri Keegan added fourth-place finishes in the 400 hurdles and pole vault for South Jefferson, and teammate Courtney Cavellier was fourth in the pentathlon.
