The Massena Central and Potsdam Central varsity girls lacrosse teams netted convincing NAC wins on Monday.
Massena 15, Canton 6: Under the light at Mike Nicholas Field, the Lady Raiders worked their way to a 6-2 halftime lead before going on to push their undefeated NAC record to 10-0.
Erin Francis led the Massena attack with eight goals and three assists. Megan Poupore tallied four goals and two assists. Shannon Casey and Dominique Valancius chipped in a goal and assist each while Ashlynn Olson netted the other goal and Steffanie Premo notched a solo assist.
Kate Lumbard paced the Lady Bears with four goals Tess Knight broke through for the other two.
Alisha Jacobs made five saves through the first 44 minutes between the pipes for the Lady Raiders. Megan Howard stood tall making 20 saves backstopping the Canton effort.
Now 11-1 overall, the Lady Raiders are slated to play at OFA on Wednesday starting at 3:30 p.m.
Potsdam 15, Saranac Lake 5: At Saranac Lake, the Lady Sandstoners ran out to a 9-3 lead by halftime and never looked back for the win.
Keely Rice anchored a balanced Potsdam attack with four goals and three assists. Micheala Cole generated three goals and two helpers.
Kalie Grant also struck for three goals. Anette Rishe added two while Kirstie Bigwarfe and Jenny Tardelli tallied the other goals while Ally Miller earned three assists and Kaileigh Kingsley one.
Kalieigh Woodruff (1 assist) and Kylie Sapone scored two goals apiece for the Red Storm. Sienna Daviau accounted for the other.
Katelyn Bloom made six saves working the crease for the win. Sheila Decker (15 saves) and Katey Snyder (8 saves) split crease duties for Saranac Lake.
In the other NAC game on Monday, Heuvelton doubled Salmon River 16-8 while OFA gained a 14-6 non-league win over Northwood Prep.
Heuvelton 16, Salmon River 8: At Heuvelton Central, Kiera Thompson scored three times for the visiting Lady Shamrocks while Kyra Thompson-Douglas and Tewasherake Barnes each connected twice and Sierra Martin once.
Emilie Ross fashioned five goals to lead the winning attack. Jackie Sovie netted four goals while Aliza Armstrong (1 assist) and Shastin Crobar chipped in two goals apiece.
Kiana Thompson handled eight shots for the Lady Shamrocks (0-8) while Megan Hamilton had nine saves for Heuvelton (3-8, 3-5).
The Lady Shamrocks are slated to host Potsdam on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
