POTSDAM — A Potsdam man was charged Monday with felony first-degree criminal contempt by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Christopher P. LaRose, 35, of 96 Sissonville Road, is accused of pushing his girlfriend into a wall Sunday, violating an order of protection issued in St. Lawrence County Family Court. He also was charged with second-degree harassment.

Mr. LaRose was arraigned in Town Court and released to probation.
