GREAT BEND — Wheatland-Chili High School Principal Patrick Brimstein is no longer a Carthage Central School District superintendent candidate.

According to Peru Central School District’s website, Mr. Brimstein was appointed the district’s new superintendent April 24. He will begin his new position July 1.

On Monday, the Board of Education discussed Peter J. Turner and Rick T. Moore, the final two candidates, during executive session but made no decision.
