Hannah Connolly scored six goals as the Immaculate Heart Central girls lacrosse team held on to beat host Watertown, 10-9, on Tuesday night to stay within reach of the Frontier League title.
Briana McClusky contributed three goals for the Cavaliers (11-2, 7-1), Erin McClusky dished out three assists, and goalie Victoria Fusco stopped nine shots.
Morgan Cadwell scored four goals for the Cyclones (9-5, 5-3), while goalie Christina Matthewson made nine saves.
IHC is a half game behind South Jefferson with two games to play. If the two teams finish tied, they will be co-champions because of splitting two games.
South Jefferson 10, General Brown 7
Danielle Kealy and Clarissa Perry each scored three goals as the Spartans earned a win over the Lions in Adams.
Courtney Zeigler made eight saves for South Jefferson (10-3, 8-1).
Emily Amell scored four goals for General Brown (4-8, 1-7).
MASSENA 17, CANTON 10
Zack Hopps became Massenas all-time leading scorer in boys lacrosse, finishing with six goals and three assists as the host Red Raiders won a Northern Athletic Conference game.
The nine points bring Hoppss career total to 236 points which puts him two ahead of Taylor Elsners 234 points for Massena (8-4 overall, 6-4 division).
Rhoades Tarbell and Gayson Phillips both scored three goals with one assist and Ross Driscoll added three goals for Massena. Jordy Mitchell and Sako Rourke also scored for Massena.
Jesse Gilbert scored four goals for Canton (9-4, 8-3). Jack Elberty and Payton VanBibber each scored twice while Tanner Sanderson and Eb Foote added single goals.
ST. LAWRENCE 12, OFA 7
Marshall Burninghausen scored five goals to lead St. Lawrence Central (7-4, 6-3) past the Blue Devils in Ogdensburg.
Dalton Lottie scored three goals with two assists and Ian Lynch added two goals and one assist for the Larries. Nate Cole, Blake Baldwin and Cody Burns also scored for the Larries.
Jake Garrison led OFA (3-9, 2-8) with one goal and two assists. Cody McCormick, Nick Perrigo and Dave Middlemiss also scored for the Blue Devils.
SALMON RIVER 19, COLTON-PIERREPONT 2
Oakley Thomas scored three goals and Braiden Sunday, David Roundpoint, Ky Tarbell and Sky Sunday each added two as Salmon River (10-0, 9-0) crushed the Colts in South Colton.
Trent Tarbell added one goal and three assists for Salmon River. Noah Whalen and Jake Angleberger scored for the Colts (0-11, 0-9).
BOYS TRACK AND FIELD
MALONE 140, OFA 101
Harvey Smith placed first in three events as the Huskies defeated OFA in a Northern Athletic Conference dual meet in Malone.
Smith won the 100-meters, 200 and 400 for the Huskies (4-0). Mike Sharrow won the shot put and discus and Conor Gordon won the 800 and 1,600 for Malone.
Nick Crawford won the 110 hurdles and the high jump for the Blue Devils (5-2).
GOUVERNEUR 132 1/2, MASSENA 107 1/2
Josh Uribe and Brandon Wylie each won two events to lead the Wildcats past Massena in a dual meet in Gouverneur.
Uribe won the long jump and triple jump for the Wildcats (4-1). Wylie won the discus and shot put. Andrew Brush led Massena (4-2) with wins in the 100 and 200.
NORWOOd-NORFOLK 171, CANTON 66
Josh Eng won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 to lead the Flyers past Canton (2-4) in a Monday meet in Norwood. Connor Levison won the 110 hurdles and 400 hurdles and Cody Dominique won the 200 and 400 for the Flyers (3-2).
WARRIORS SWEEP TRI-MEET
Rayshan Clark captured the 110-meter hurdles, long jump, triple jump and ran on the first-place 400 relay to lead Indian River to victories over South Jefferson, 94-47, and Sandy Creek, 125-14, in a Frontier League tri-meet at Philadelphia.
South Jefferson defeated Sandy Creek, 110-29.
Will Moran won the 400 hurdles and high jump for Indian River (6-0).
Nick Tyler claimed the 3,200, 1,600 and 800 runs and contributed to the winning 3,200 relay for South Jefferson (1-4).
GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD
MALONE 212 1/2, OFA 91 1/2
Five athletes were two-event winners for the Huskies in a win over OFA (4-3) in Malone.
Lilian Gishey (high jump, triple jump), Bridget Gravel (long jump, 100), Kylee Disotelle (100 hurdles, 400 hurdles), Morgan Bronner (1,500 and 3,000) and Carrie Pomainville (200 and 400) were the dual-event winners for Malone (4-0).
MASSENA 168, GOUVERNEUR 150
Jacalyn Lamica won the 100, 200 and high jump for Massena (3-3) in a win over the Wildcats in Gouverneur.
Davina Jones won the 100 and 400 hurdles for Gouverneur (2-3) and Megan Morrow claimed the 400 and 800.
CANTON 159, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 143
Lindsey Proulx won three events as Canton edged the Flyers (2-3) in a Monday meet in Norwood.
Proulx won the high jump, long jump and 100 hurdles for Canton (6-0).
SPARTANS EARN TWO WINS
Skylar Pastor captured the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes and anchored the first-place 1,600 relay to guide South Jefferson to victories over BeaverRiver, 83½- 57½, and Altmar-Parish-Williamstown, 124-15, in a Frontier League tri-meet at Adams Center.
Beaver River defeated APW, 111-21.
Kerri Keegan claimed the 100 and 400 hurdles and ran on the winning 400 relay, and Jackie Miller took the 1,500 and 3,000 for South Jefferson (7-1), which has clinched the A Division regular-season title.
Courtney Cardinal won the shot put and discus for Beaver River (4-2).
