UNLAWFUL POSSESSION MARIJUANA - POTSDAM - Village police charged Dylan M. Harvey, 18, of Norfolk with unlawful possession of marijuana at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Potsdam High School parking lot. Police said they responded to the rear parking lot at the high school after receiving a suspicious vehicle complaint from school staff. They said they found Harvey sleeping in the back seat of the vehicle. Police said Harvey admitted smoking marijuana in the vehicle prior to taking a nap. He surrendered the remainder of his marijuana upon being asked, police said. Harvey was released on an appearance ticket.

0804 Abandoned bicycle found at 4 Leroy Street and recovered by the police department at the request of the property owner.

0922 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call at the Market Square Mall.

1011 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call on County Route 35.

1315 Patrol dispatched to the Potsdam High School parking lot where there is reported to be a suspicious vehicle and occupant. Patrols returned with the above defendant, Dylan Harvey.

1348 Equipment inspection done for NYSP summons issued to village resident returnable to Potsdam Town Court for inadequate stop lamps.

1451 Received report for Clarkson Campus Safety and Security regarding the theft of a bicycle on campus.

1456 Received report for Clarkson Campus Safety and Security regarding theft and discharge of a fire extinguisher on campus.

1535 Persons with disabilities parking permits issued to Winthrop resident.

1710 Patrols responded to Evergreen Park to assist with a domestic problem.
