MASSENA - The Nationwide White Sox opened the Massena Little League Majors Division season with a win over the Blevins Motors Yankees on Monday.

Offensive highlights for the Yankees came from Nevin LaShomb with two singles and a run scored, Dawon Ayotte with an RBI-single, Logan Sharlow with a single and Mathew Phillips with a triple. Brandon Badder reached base twice after drawing a walk and getting hit by a pitch. Chase Cameron made strong defensive contributions and Tyler Bacon turned in two solid innings of work on the mound.

In other Monday action, Twin Rivers gained a 15-12 Coach Pitch Division decision over Studio 162 while Toddler Town took on American Legion and Subway faced Pizza Hut in two T-Ball matchups.
