Mohawk International Raceway to open tonight
Mohawk International Raceway in Akwesasne is scheduled to open its season tonight.
A 40-lap, $2,000-to-win feature event is scheduled for the 358-modified division. Also on the schedule tonight is racing in the pro stocks, sportsman, bandits and mod lites.
The Evans Mills Speedway and Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville will hold Saturday night race programs.
A full race program is scheduled for Evans Mills with racing in the thunder stocks cars and trucks, thunder cars, super stocks, 4-cylinder sports compacts, mens trucks, open wheels, legends and junior thunder stocks and thunder cars. Also on the schedule is a Burnout Competition open to cars, trucks and bikes. The winner will be awarded $250. Racing begins at 6 p.m.
Can-Am will feature a 30-lap sportsman race with $600 going to the winner. Racing will also be held in the late model, pro street, thunder cars, pro stocks and mod lites. Racing will get under way at 6:30 p.m.
