ADAMS Voters will have a choice of two incumbents and one newcomer for three seats on the South Jefferson Central School District Board of Education.
On the ballot Tuesday, incumbents Kenneth M. Bibbins and Brenda Shelmidine are joined by new candidate James S. Juczak, who is running for a vacant seat.
Mr. Juczak, a consultant and alternative housing instructor at Woodhenge Self-Reliance Campus, Adams Center, spent 21 years as a teacher in the district.
He said he became interested in the position after hearing about the vacancy.
Id rather help the situation than complain about it, Mr. Juczak said. While declining to detail specifics, he said he hoped to bring savings to the district through energy conservation and alternative energy sources.
