MADRID - Madrid-Waddington’s Brittany Pierce sailed into prominence as the only individual triple winner on Saturday as the Section 10 Track-Field season acclerated at the Madrid-Waddington Invitational.

OFA will host the VanDusen Invitational ons Saturday.

Pierce won the 100 meter dash, the long jump and the triple to gain individual honors while Canton and Malone won team championships. The Lady Bears outscored Malone 125-100 with M-W placing a strong third at 99. The Malone Boys registered a dominant 175-point title and OFA outdueled Potsdam 95-94 for second place.

Katie Marcellus swept shot put and discus throw honors while Lisbon’s Laura Pierce continued a leader for Canton leading the 800 meter run and carrying the baton on the first place 4x800 and 4x400 relays.

OFA’s Christian Lesperance rebounded from a false start in the 100 meter dash to register first place finishes in the 400 dash and the long jump. The Blue Devil Boys also secured a 1-2 finish from Zach Grenier and Marv Petell in the 110 hurdles and firsts from Petell in the high jump, Taylor Bouchard in the triple jump and Nick Crawford int the Pentathlon. Kayla Tolman led the OFA Girls with a second place finish in the pentathlon.

Canton’s team title also featured a 1500-4x800 relay double fronm Maria Ricalton, a 200-4x100 relay double from Jaleigh Pier, a 400, 4x400 relay double from Rebecca DelRossiand first places from Morgan Rosser in the high jump and Lindsay Proulx in the Pentathlon. Lauren Orosz carried the M-W colors to medalist circle in the 3000 meter run.

The circle of individual champions also included: Kylie Disotelle of Malone (100H, 400H), Harvey Smith oif Malone (100D), Connor Gordon of Malone (1600, 3200), Corey LaMere of Malone (800), Lindsey Maroun of Tupper Lake (200), Tyler Belleau of Potsdam (200), John Picaro of Malone (400H), Mike Sharrow f Malone (SP) and Preston Mason of Norwood-Norfolk (discus)

Relay championships went to Laura Pierce, Gemma DelRossi, Maria Ricalton of Canton and Connor Gordon, Morgan Marlow, Dylan LaVoie amnd Rourk Malone of Malone in 4x800 races; Emma Collins, Brigette Sanderson, Jaliegh Pier and Kathryn Fanning of Canton and Tommy Garland, Brennan Gervvais, John Picaro and Aaron Sharrow of Malone in the 4x100 races and Rebecca and Gemma DelRossi of Canton, Laura Pierce and Tori Daley of Canton and Doug Fitzgerald, Brennan Gervais, Connor Gordon and John Picaro of Canton in the 4x400 races.
