Funeral services for Jesus Tanglao, age 58, of Brooklyn, will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 at St. Marys Cathedral at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Frary Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Tanglao passed away on May 10, 2012.
Mr. Tanglao is survived by his wife, Alicia; four sons, Antonio and his wife, Abigail, Robert, Angelito Jack and his wife, Wilma, and Andrian and his wife, Nazarene; and one daughter, Marilou Gomez and her husband, Eric. He is also survived by two brothers, Joseph and his wife, Amanda, Houston, TX and Philip and his wife, Edencita, Brooklyn; three sisters, Mae Baildon, Ogdensburg, Lourdes Tanglao, Queens, and Teresita Capitulo and her husband, Edwin, Brooklyn; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edgar in 1966 and Charlie in 1989; a granddaughter, Angela, in 2007; and a brother-in-law, Richard Baildon, in 2009.
Mr. Tanglao was born on June 14, 1953 in the Philippines, the son of Ponciano and Emiliana Cura Tanglao. He graduated from Tarlac National High School and Nicanor Reyes Memorial Colleges in Tarlac. He married Alicia Garcia on March 10, 1974 at St. Sebastians Cathedral in Tarlac City, Philippines. He worked as a clerk in the Superintendents office at the Department of Education in Tarlac, Philippines. Mr. Tanglao and his family moved to the United States in 1999.
Mr. Tanglao was a member of the Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Tanglao enjoyed listening to music. He was well known for being very outgoing and for being a generous person.
