HEUVELTON — Village officials will hold a special public meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Oswegatchie Town Hall to discuss its upcoming village centennial celebration.

Events marking Heuvelton’s 100th year are tentatively set for Dec. 26 to 28.

So far, the village Planning Board has sent more than 20 letters to community groups offering a chance for them to participate and asking them to send a representative to the meeting. Mayor Barbara A. Lashua said the public also is invited to make comments and suggestions.
