Massena golfers fall to OFA; N-N shoots past M-M


MORRISTOWN - The Massena Central golf team started the final week of the regular season by dropping a 213-231 decision on the road to NAC Division I rival OFA on Monday.

Hunter Francis paced the Raiders in the losing effort, carding a 39 at the par 35 St. Lawrence State Park Course. Kendrick Swamp and Tyler Nevill each carded 46’s while Tyler Bradford posted a 49 and Jayden Wood finished with a 51.

Conor Hannan birdied the first three holes en route to leading the Blue Devils with a one-over par 36. Dillon Binion and Brandon Mullin each shot 41 followed by Tristan Moore with a 47 and Jed McRoberts with a 48.

The Raiders, 4-2, return to action on Wednesday with a trip to the Malone Country Club where they will take on Franklin Academy.


In an NAC Division II meet held at Highland Greens, Norwood-Norfolk moved to 12-0 with a 4-1 win over host Brushton-Moira.

Scoring points for the Flyers were Nick Stewart over Hunter Russell 46-47, Ryan Thomas over Matt Follett 43-55, Cole Davey over Nick Debyah 46-57, and Schuyler LaBarfe over Nathan Nile 49-60.

Playing in the first pairing, Devin Delisle beat Matt Myers 38-41 to account for the lone point for the Panthers.
