About 6,600 customers in the greater Watertown area Wednesday morning.
The problem was caused by the East Gotham Street substation in Watertown at about 9 a.m. Power was restored to all customers at about 9:40 a.m., National Grid reported.
About half of the city was withouth power, including residents on Route 3 near Fort Drum. Some residents south of Watertown and in Lewis county also lost power.
