CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - BRASHER IRON WORKS - St. Lawrence County Sheriff Department deputies charged Kenneth J. Snyder, 32, of 228 Water St., Nicholville, with second-degree criminal contempt, endangering the welfare of a child, failure to comply and speed in zone gollowing a traffic stop May 11 on County Route 55 in the town of Brasher. Deputies said they attempted to stop Snyder for speeding after he was initially observed traveling 64 mph in a 40 mph zone. Snyder reportedly failed to comply with deputies for several miles before stopping. Furtherinvestigation revealed that Snyder had his infant daughterin the vehicle during the incident. There was a stay away order of protection directing Snyder not to have any contact with his daughter. Snyder was arraigned in Brasher Town Court and was released on his own recognizance.
