CANTON Three people were arrested Monday at the St. Lawrence County jail following a drug transaction.
Deputies charged Bridget L. Prashaw-Silva, 27, of 85 Depot St., Gouverneur, with third-degree felony criminal sale of a controlled substance, felony first-degree introducing dangerous contraband into a prison and felony fourth-degree conspiracy.
Ms. Prashaw-Silva is accused of bringing narcotics to Matisha L. Wineglass, 31, during a visit. Ms. Wineglass was charged with third-degree felony criminal sale of a controlled substance, felony first-degree possessing dangerous contraband in a prison and felony fourth-degree conspiracy.
Ms. Wineglass was accused of passing the narcotics to Jessica L. Prashaw, 30, an inmate. Ms. Prashaw was charged with felony first-degree possessing dangerous contraband in a prison, felony fourth-degree conspiracy and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Ms. Prashaw-Silva was arraigned in Village Court and taken to the jail on $1,500 bail. Ms. Wineglass and Ms. Prashaw are scheduled to be arraigned at a later date.
