Fuller wins Can-Am feature race

Tim Fuller of Watertown made a rare appearance at Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville on Saturday and came away with a win in the SUNY Canton/Dig Safely New York in the big block/358 modified feature.

Lance Willix and Chris Raabe finished in the top three in the event.

Brandon Hagan made it three straight wins in the sportsman division. Chris Thurston finished second and Mike Prentice took third.

Kenny Hamm crossed the finish line first in the pro stock feature. Sid Harmer Sr. was second and Mike White took third.

A late move gave Mike Bruce the mod lite division win. Tiger Chapman finished second and Bruce Broedel was third.

Jack Symonds won the thunder car feature, with Ray Bechler finishing second and Chuck Monica third. Dale Caswell held off the field en route to winning the late model race that saw Jordan Keruskie and Billy Eisele tie for second place. Steven Gilmore crossed the finish line ahead of Steve Smith Jr. and Kyle Sharp.

Bill Gill won his second open class feature race Saturday at Evans Mills Speedway. Mark Webb finished second and Jeff Rowes was third. Don Way won the thunder car race, with John Sargent and Tim Worden finishing in the top three.

Randy Mooney led the field across the finish line in the trucks feature. Trevor Halladay was second and Robert Schroy was third. Chris Zieren won the legends race, with Randy Brunell and Verne LaFave finished second and third, respectively. Dylan Kampnich was the winner of the junior race, Dalton Lampson was the runner-up and Connor Welsh was third.

Justin Pope beat Dan Swem and Zach Petrie across the finish line in the thunder stocks feature. Keith Doxtater won the super stocks feature, with Randy Brunell and Chris Typhair finishing in the top three. Scott Shafer held off the field en route to the sports compact feature. Kathy Defoe was second and Devin Dobransky was third.

Dan Swem was the endur feature winner, while Adam Dean and Ed Morris took second and third, respectively.

On Friday night, Watertown native Tim McCreadie won a dirt modified race at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta. McCreadie and Fuller are expected to be in the lineup for Wednesday’s big modified feature at Can-Am.

Billy Dunn of Watertown finished third in a modified feature Saturday at the Canandaigua Speedway. Rob Bellinger of Dexter finished 11th.
