CROSSWALK VIOLATION - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Ryan E. Gallagher, 21, of Potsdam for failure to stop for a pedestrian in the crosswalk on Market Street in front of the Aubuchon building following a traffic stop at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

CELL PHONE - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Keitha E. Briggs, 48, of Canton, for operating a motor vehicle on a public highway while using cell phone following a traffic stop at 12:27 p.m. Monday on Market Street.

2208 Officer responded to a possible burglary. Investigation continues.

2254 Received a report of an open door at the Tile Company. Officer responded.

2317 Received a report of a loose dog on Market Street. Dog was transported to the animal shelter.

0123 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call at Mayfield Drive.

0237 Domestic dispute on Riverside Drive.

0314 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call on the Sissonville Road.

0736 Burglar alarm at First Niagara Bank on Elm Street. Patrol responded and found the alarm to be false.

0845 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Lawrence Avenue. The operator was issued a verbal warning.

1054 Potsdam Rescue was dispatched to Madrid for a male with pneumonia.

1117 A Potsdam village resident enters Potsdam PD to report that his debit card was fraudulently used. The charges exceed $500.

1150 Report that a truck pulled up in front of the animal shelter and dropped off a dog and then took off.

1202 A town of Potsdam resident enters Potsdam PD requesting fingerprints taken for employment.

1217 Report of a vehicle in the rear parking lot of First Niagara Bank with its door open and no one in the area. Patrol dispatched.

1227 Traffic stop. Ticket issued.

1519 Report of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Pine and Sandstone. Patrol

dispatched. Potsdam Rescue and Potsdam Fire also responded.

1604 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Fall Island. The operator was issued a verbal warning.

1854 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to Norwood for an elderly female difficulty breathing.

1945 Received a report of a violation of an order of protection.

2044 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

2251 Received a report of what sounded like a gun shot in the area of Lawrence Avenue Apartments. Officer responded.
