Watertown police are investigating a 23-year-old man’s report that he was robbed early Wednesday in the 1700 block of Burns Avenue, near Meadowbrook Apartments.

Police were notified at 1:21 a.m. by Samaritan Medical Center, where the man arrived to be treated for minor injuries.

Detective Sgt. Joseph R. Donaghue said the man reported the loss of an undisclosed amount of cash. The sergeant declined to say whether there was more than one bandit, or whether a weapon was wielded.

Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity on Burns Avenue before 1:20 a.m. is asked to call city police at 782-2233.
