Lois Sparks


LISBON - Lois Premo Sparks, 50, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg.

There are no funeral services, and arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Lois was born November 2, 1961 in Canton, the daughter of John and Clara Robinson Premo.

She graduated from Canton High School in 1979 and from Canton ATC with a associate’s degree.

Lois worked in retail sales and for public schools as a teacher’s aide and school bus driver. She enjoyed reading, bowling, playing cards and bingo, and adding to her thimble and unicorn collections.

Lois is survived by her two daughters Janice and Robert Bureau of Little Chute, WI, Heather Sparks of Theresa, a grandson Beau Bureau, and her close friend Lois Paquin of Lisbon. She is also survived by three brothers John Premo of Wisconsin, Donald W. Premo of Brasher Falls, Michael Premo of Louisiana, four sisters Kathy Upchurch of Minnesota, Mary Robert of Pierrepont, Susan Masters of Virginia, Debra McEathron of Florida, several nieces and nephews. Lois is predeceased by her parents and a brother Matthew Premo who died at birth.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
