CANTON — The Village Police Department has announced the arrests of six people in connection with several vehicle break-ins in late April.

Charged with petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy:

■ Wallace F. McLaughlin, 19, County Route 24, Edwards.

■ Albert E. Bevins, 19, of 100 County Route 15, DeKalb Junction.

■ Derrick A. Jerome, 20, of 27 Jingleville Road, Canton.

■ Tamara S. Owens, 18, of 27 Jingleville Road, Canton.

■ Brandon C. Gage, 19, of 1332 Ford St., Ogdensburg.

Richard H. “Ricky” Martin III, 17, of 30 East St., Rensselaer Falls, was charged with one count of sixth-degree conspiracy.

Mr. McLaughlin and Mr. Bevins were arraigned and released. The others were issued appearance tickets for Canton Village Court. Further charges from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department are pending.

Village police said residents should keep their vehicles locked.
