FELONY DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged Mark K. Aldridge, 57, of 49 1/2 Maple St., Lot 20, Massena, with a felony count of aggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 3:35 p.m. Friday on Bayley Road. Police said the stop was made after Aldridge backed out of a driveway at 204 Bayley Road at 3:35 p.m. Friday and nearly struck a village police cruiser traveling on Bayley Road. He was also ticketed for failure to yield the right of way and an open container violation. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.27 percent. more than three times the 0.08 percent threshold required for a DWI charge in New York state. The charge was elevated to a felony after a record search revealed Aldridge had a driving while intoxicated conviction within the past 10 years.

HARASSMENT - MASSENA - Village police charged Spencer A. Konitisiotis, 34, of 96 North Main St., Massena, with second-degree harassment Friday. Police said the charge stemmed from an altercartion on May 20. Fregoe said Konitsiotis saw him at On A Roll deli, followed him back to his home and then started punching him without saying a word. He said Konitsiotis made a remark about him being a pedophile before leaving his property.

INADEQUATE BRAKES - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Kenneth E. Taber of County Route 37, Massena, with operation of an unregistered motor vehicle and operation of a vehicle with inadequate brake lights following a traffic stop at 3:50 p.m. Thursday,

UNNECESSARY NOISE - MASSENA - Village police charged Christopher Deshane, 35, of 140 Liberty Ave., Massena, with an unnecessary noise violation at 11:45 p.m. Friday at his residence.
