FELONY DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged Mark K. Aldridge, 57, of 49 1/2 Maple St., Lot 20, Massena, with a felony count of aggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 3:35 p.m. Friday on Bayley Road. Police said the stop was made after Aldridge backed out of a driveway at 204 Bayley Road and nearly struck a village police cruiser. He was also ticketed for failure to yield the right of way and an open container violation. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.27 percent, more than three times the 0.08 percent threshold required for a DWI charge in New York state. The charge was elevated to a felony after a record search revealed Aldridge had a driving while intoxicated conviction within the past 10 years.
