The St. Lawrence Valley Sportsmans Club will be holding its Annual Opening Day Smallmouth Derby on Saturday, June 16.This year the SLVSC is pleased to announce that Pepsi Cola Ogdensburg Bottlers will be the main sponsor.Anyone who stops by the participating stores and buys a cube of any Pepsi product you will automatically be entered into the bass derby. The stores participating in this event are Parkway Store on Champlain Street in Ogdensburg, Parkway in Lisbon, Parkway in Morristown, Nice-N-Easy Stores in Ogdensburg and Twin Bridges Convenient Store.
This is a great opportunity given to our organization by Pepsi Cola and we would like everyone to take advantage of this. They have agreed to pay up to 250 enteries, so buy a cube of any Pepsi product and get entered in to win up to $500, said a SLVSC spokesperson.
The Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad didnt have its annual ice fishing derby this year so Matt Denner and his crew are joining the sportsmens club for the bass tournament this year. The SLVSC is excited to have the OVRS on board for this great derby.
During the tournament, the Wounded Warriors Derby will also be weighing in their fish.
Additional sign-ups are being taken at Vinns Tavern, Bills Tire, and Fish-R-Chips for the $15 entry fee. The derby weigh in station will be at the Visitor Center in Ogdensburg from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 16.
