MASSENA - Village police have issued several tickets following an investigation into a two-vehicle crash at 2:51 p.m. Tuesday at Talcott and Morrill streets.
Village police said Holly Boyea, 20, of 134 Center St., Apt. 1, Massena, was westbound on Morrill Street when she failed to stop at a stop sign at Talcott and struck a sports utility vehicle being operated by Harold Martin III, 25, of 24 Talcott St. The force of the collision rolled the Martin vehicle onto its side.
Martin and Boyea were transported to Massena Memorial Hospital for treatment of what were described as relatively minor injuries. Massena Rescue and Seaway Valley Ambulance responded to the accident scene along with Massena Fire.
Village police ticketed Boyea for a stop sign violation. Martin was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and was ticketed for operation of an unregistered motor vehicle.
