Shirley M. McMahon, 76, of Brewerton, formerly of Lowville, passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, with family by her side.

Born to Horace and Hazel (Castle) Roy, Shirley graduated from Lowville Free Academy in 1954 before marrying her husband Richard E. McMahon in Sept. of 1961. Shirley was a Hairdresser at Continental Barber Shop for 28 years. She was a member of the Brewerton Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and St. Agnes Church in Brewerton.

Shirley is predeceased by her parents, husband, and sister Eva H. Roy. She is survived by her children Cathy (Tom) Schantz, Linda (Bill) Alley III, and William J. McMahon; one brother; two sisters; three grandsons; two step grand daughters; and three great grandchildren.

Memorial Service: Friday, 1:00 pm at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main St., Central Square. Calling Hours: Friday, 11 to 1 pm at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY or Brewerton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
