Bowfishing Chamnpionship Saturday-Sunday


Long Sault Archery announces the 32nd St. Lawrence Bowfishing Championship to be held June 8-10, 2012 at the Amvets Riverfront Campground located on County Rt 42 (Fregoe Rd) in Massena.

Anyone wishing to register for the event can do so at this new location by midnight, Friday, June 8th or online via PayPal, by Thursday, June 7th at Mail-In registrations must be postmarked by June 1st. Each registration costs $30 per person ($35 Canadian cash).

Final weigh-in of carp is at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 10. First place prize is $1000 cash. Second & third place will be awarded cash prizes. Several other prizes will be awarded based on the number of registrants.

Net proceeds from the event are donated back to community outdoor youth programs.

Last year’s event welcomed 166 registered bowfishing men, women and children. The winner, Frank Elie of St. Isidore, Ontario, landed a 42.50 pound carp.
