AGGRAVATED DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged Andrew J. McDonald, 19, of 177 Hough Road, Massena, with aggravated driving while intoxicatedfollowing a stop at 2:05 a.m. Sunday on Andrews Street.

Police said McDonald backed into a light pole, causing damage to both his car and the pole.

He left the scene of the accident and was later found and arrested by police. Mr. McDonald was charged with aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content over 0.18 percent.

He was also charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, unsafe backing, unsafe start and failure to keep right.
