Three people were injured in a three-vehicle chain-reaction accident Thursday afternoon in the 500 block of LeRay Street.
Watertown police said a vehicle driven by Timothy D. Miller, 28, Fort Drum, had stopped for traffic just north of the intersection of West Main Street about 3:30 p.m., while a vehicle behind him, driven by Chad A. Hinton, 30, Fort Drum, also stopped. The Hinton vehicle was struck from behind by one driven by Joshua K. Paul, 22, Warsaw, Wyoming County, with the Hinton vehicle being pushed into the Miller vehicle.
Mr. Hinton was taken to Samaritan Medical Center complaining of back pain, while a passenger, Katja J. Hinton, 34, was taken to the hospital complaining of neck pain. A second passenger, Joseph A. Hinton, 4, was taken to Samaritan for treatment of a cut to his head.
Neither Mr. Paul nor Mr. Miller was injured. Mr. Paul was charged with following too closely.
