State employees are off to find new parking spaces as the garage of the Dulles State Office Building off Washington Street closed Friday.
Heather R. Groll, spokeswoman for the state Office of General Services, which operates the building, said the $1 million project is scheduled to finish around November.
Michael R. Flick, a spokesman for the state Department of Transportations Watertown office, located in the building, said the department frequently tells people in work areas that they could see short-term pain for long-term gain.
It looks like were going to be seeing some of that, too, Mr. Flick said. Well get through it.
The project will relocate about 150 state employees.
