UNNECESSARY NOISE - POTSDAM - Village police charged Ryan J. Merriman, 19, of Potsdam with unnecessary noise - yelling at 8:29 p.m. Tuesday on Pierrepont Avenue. Police allege Merriman was creating unnecessary noise by yelling.

0924 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Elm Street. The operator was issued a verbal warning.

0939 Complainant contacts Potsdam Police Department reporting parking violations that are unacceptable Main Street. Patrol dispatched. It was discovered that BOCES was having their graduation at Hosmer Hall, and the violations are likely from the increased parking need for the graduation. Four parking violations were observed, and four tickets were issued.

1007 Patrol completed a traffic stop in North Country Savings Bank parking lot. The operator was issued a verbal warning.

1049 Patrols were requested to assist a wide load through the intersections of Market and Elm and then Lawrence Avenue and Elm. Detail completed without incident.

1127 A record check was requested and completed for NYSP Oneida Casino Unit.

1134 Potsdam Rescue was dispatched to Route 11B for a male with severe abdominal pain.

1156 A lost plate form was completed for a town of Potsdam resident.

1325 A mental health pick up order was received on a village resident.

1345 A record check was requested and completed for NYSP Police Mohawk Casino Detail.

1514 A wallet was found at a local business. The owner was able to be reached, and he will be in to pick up his property.

1623 A temporary handicapped parking permit was issued to a village resident.

1625 Potsdam Police and Potsdam Rescue were dispatched to Jreck Subs parking lot for an unresponsive female.

1742 Patrols dispatched to a burglar alarm at a local business. Upon arrival discovered that they were testing that alarms. Clear without incident.

1755 Report of a dog that had been struck by a vehicle on Pierrepont Avenue. Patrols dispatched.

2029 Traffic stop on State Street. Ticket issued.

2246 Traffic stop on Maple Street. Verbal warning issued.

2306 Traffic stop on Main Street. Verbal warning issued.
