CROGHAN — A Carthage woman was accused early Tuesday of assaulting another woman at an apartment at 9768 Route 812.

Lewis County sheriff’s deputies charged Michelle L. Dingman, 29, Washington Court Apartments, with third-degree assault, answerable in Croghan Town Court.

Ms. Dingman at 2:35 a.m. was accused of hitting Cindy L. Miller, 28, a resident of the Croghan apartment, 10 to 12 times, causing cuts and bleeding from her face.

Croghan Ambulance Squad members assisted at the scene.
