Maryland claimed the Playoff Championship of the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Elementary Basketball action as the Terps defeated Duke 31- 18 in the postseason championship game. Maryland was led offensively by Mesean Johnson, Brogan LaRose, David Vernsey, and Trent Sargent. Duke was led by the play of Hayden Ives, Harry Powers, Sarah Nichols, and Madison McCormick.
After the title game, OBGC Assistant Director Doug Farley and OBGC Volunteer Zach Dodge handed out plaques to Duke as the Playoff Finalists and Trophies to Maryland as the Playoff Champions. Purdue, which won the Consolation game 18-8 over Ohio State, received gold medals for finishing in first place in the Big 10 League.
Special awards were given to Hayden Ives and Cooper Hunter as Offensive MVPs, Jackson Jones, and Noah Steele as Leagues Defensive MVPs and Shelby Ross, and Sydney Hosmer as the Sportsmanship Awards recipients.
OBGC Executive Director Thomas Luckie Jr. handed out a free St. Lawrence Basketball Camp membership to a League member courtesy of Chris Downs, Mens Basketball Coach at St. Lawrence University. The winner of the Basketball Camp membership was Mesean Johnson.
