SYRACUSE -Hannah Thornhill and Paige McCormick, teammates on Heuvelton Central’s Section 10 Class D Campionship softball team, produced a 1-2 finish in the Major League Baseball Pitch-Hit-Run Regional Competition in Syracuse last Saturday.

The Lady Bulldog teammates placed first and second in the Girls 13-14 Division but Thornhill’s points did not qualify to advance to the state competition.

Molly Williams of Heuveltion placed second in the Girls 9-10 Division.

Other division champions fron the local competition staged on May 19, under the auspices of the Ogdensburg Boys&Girls Club, were: Madison McCormick (Girls 11-12), Ian Sovie (Boys 7-8), Ty Reed (Boys 9-10), Mecci Johnson (Boys 11-12) and Jared Barr (Boys 13-14).
