LISBON - The first annual High School Preseason Skills and Conditioning Soccer Camp at Lisbon Central School, scheduled for Aug. 13-17 at three soccer fields on the Lisbon Central complex, has drawn a great deal of interest but openings remain.
The camp is open to both boys and girls from any school district and will hold a morning session from 8-11 a.m. for students in grades seven through 12 and an evening session from 6-7:30 p.m. for students in grades three through six.
The session for students in grades 7-12 is a high school preseason skills and conditioning camp and will include goaltenders camp. The fee is $100 per camper. The session for students in grades 3-6 will concentrate on basic skills and fundaments and the fee is $50. Both cams are sponsored by Ogdensburg Pepsi Cola Bottlers, Mort Backus and Sons, and Howland Pump and will be limited to first 100 paid registrants and the deadline for registration is Aug. 3.
Camp Director Bill Reed urges that prospective participants to sign up as soon as possible.
Seymour Instructs Goalie Camp
The camp for seventh through 12 graders will also offer a camp for goalies where instruction will be provided by SLU Assistant Coach Luke Seymour who is a Canton native who played at the NCAA Division I level for Canisius College.
