Barclay “Skip” D. Potts Jr., age 59, formerly of Jamestown, passed away Friday at Oswego Hospital. Skip resided in Orwell for the past 27 years, and previously lived in Jamestown, NY. He was born August 9, 1952 in Jamestown, the son of Barclay and Lucille Crandall Potts Sr. Skip graduated from Jamestown High School in 1970, and he graduated from Houghton College with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education in 1975. He married Cheryl Greenfield on April 9, 1977. Skip was employed as a Rural Mail Carrier out of the U.S. Post Office in Richland for the past 26 years. He was a member of the Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church.

Surviving: wife Cheryl of Orwell, two daughters, Janelle Potts of Easton, PA and Joelle Potts of Wellsville, NY, one son Brett Potts of Buffalo, NY his parents Barclay and Lucille Potts of Jamestown, NY one brother David Potts of Orlando, FL, two sisters Carolyn Potts and Linda (Robert) Walrod both of Jamestown, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Vorea Community Church, 12 Waggoner Rd., in Richland, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Monday prior to the funeral, at the Foster- Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Donations may be made to the Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church, 386 Pine Meadows Rd., Altmar, NY 13302.
