CHAZY - The Northern New York Bassmasters started the 2012 team tournament trail season on Lake Champlain on Saturday out of the Chazy Landing State Launch.

The tournament drew 56 anglers teamed up for the day that weighed in over 378 lbs of largemouth and smallmouth.

The top 4 winners were:First - Rob LaMoy, Cody LaMoy (Chazy, NY) with 18.89 lbs, 2nd: Morristown native Danny Ott, Eric Gibbs (Tupper Lake-South Colton) with 18.08 lbs, third: Chuck Roach, Chris Roach (Heuvelton) with 17.91 lbs, Fourth: Larry Rovito, Robin Reome (both Malone) with 17.55 lbs

Lunker of the day was 5.28 lb largemouth caught by Morristown native Danny Ott

Next tournament for the trail is on the St. Lawrence River out of Ogdensburg at the Patterson Street Launchon June 23.

The weigh-in begins at 3 p.m. and the public is invited tocome and see the best smallmouth and largemouth the St. Lawrence has to offer.
