FORT DRUM — Post officials said they have not come to any conclusions on which businesses, if any, will be labeled off-limits. The post issued letters to four businesses in early March informing them of their possible labeling, citing their sale of drug paraphernalia and synthetic marijuana products. The businesses, which were not named, had two weeks to respond to the notice.

Two months later, a post spokeswoman said, due process on a decision is “continuing.” Among the reasons for the delayed decision were new rules implemented from the state Department of Health banning the sale of synthetic marijuana products.

Currently, the only business in the north country off limits to soldiers is the High Life, 22220 Route 11.
