ADAMS — The village’s Strawberry Festival is scheduled to get under way today for the 37th year.

Sponsored by the Historical Association of South Jefferson, the event will feature the sale of locally grown strawberries, to go with displays from several community groups and vendors and a chicken barbecue. Alan Reed, the association’s president, said there will be new antique truck and animal displays this year.

The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. More information about the event can be found by calling Mr. Reed at 767-1295.
