Women who enroll at Jefferson Community College full time this fall are eligible for a special scholarship.
The colleges Womens Organization is awarding 10 $500 scholarships based upon academic standing, evidence of self-development and citizenship and financial need, according to a statement.
For the freshman scholarship, applicants must have obtained a 3.25 or better grade-point average and either be students who have never attended college or have fewer than 10 undergraduate credit hours. For the continuing student scholarship, a student must obtain a grade-point average of 3.0 and have accumulated no more than 48 undergraduate credit hours.
The deadline for submissions is July 27. Previous Womens Organization scholarship recipients may not apply.
