ROBBERY - WADDINGTON - St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Department investigators said overnight that $400 was taken during the strong arm robbery at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at the Kunoco store in Waddington.
Deputies said a white male entered theKunoco store on state Route 37 wearing a black zip up hoody, jeans and a ski type mask.
The male made his way around the counter and attempted to steal money when he was confronted by a female store clerk.She attempted to stop him from taking the money, and the two wrestled to the floor before the suspect was able to get free and get out from behind the counter.
A second physical confrontation took place, and deputies said at that time the suspect bit the 21-year-old store clerk on thearm and then kicked her twice in the ribs.
She let go of him, and he ran from the store.
It appears the suspect got away with about $400, deputies said.
The store clerk was transported to the hospital by Waddington Rescue, treated for the bite wound and released.
The suspect was described as between 57 and 510, with a thin build.Reports indicated he weighed between 140-160 pounds. \
Sheriffs department officers were assisted at the scene by New York State Police uniform officers and a K-9 Officer.
The sheriffs department is asking anyone with information about this crime to call theor office at 379-2222.
FORCIBLE TOUCHING - MASSENA - Village police Jeizino Cruickshank, 25, of 104 Bishop Ave., Massena, with forcible touching and second-degree harassment following a dispute with a female described as his ex-girlfriend late Thursday morning.
Cruickshank was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow Thursday evening and released under the supervision of the probation department. The court also signed a temporary order of protection directing Cruickshank to have no contact with the 32-year-old female.
The woman told police Cruickshank had grabbed her in the crotch area and squeezed after she rejected his sexual advances. She said he had also pushed her on a bed and attempted to remove her pants.
SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Jacob S. Muller, 19, of South Colton for speed in zone (45/30) following a traffic stop at 10:11 p.m. Wednesday on Maple Street.
