City of Watertown to compete in Most Patriotic Town contest

Make sure you show the red, white and blue this weekend.

As a part of the America’s Most Patriotic Town contest, local organizers are asking city of Watertown business owners and residents to put out the American flag while Rand McNally judges come to town.

It’s all a part of the city getting selected one of the “most patriotic” towns in the United States by voters in the USA Today-Rand McNally Best of the Road Rally.

Contest organizers have chosen amateur travelers to visit Watertown and five other municipalities to find out which best represents a love of country.

The travelers will blog and write reviews about and take videos and pictures of their visit. At the end of their journey, they will choose which small town is the most patriotic.
