CANTON - Sara Elliott finished off a play set up by Kerri Keegan in the 28th minute and the FC Freeze made it stand for a 1-0 decision over Ton’s Sports Bar in a North Country Women’s Summer Soccer games played on Thursday at SLU’s J Lot Field.

Alex Weston handled the three shots she faced to backstop the shutout while Liz Durfee stood tall working the Ton’s crease for 12 saves.

In other games played on Thursday, Massena Savings and Loan battled Akwesasne to a scoreless draw and Edwards-Knox downed Harrisville 3-1. Heuvelton at Dow Electric and Canton at Potsdam 2 were postponed.
