LOWVILLE — Christopher J. Brundage, 30, of 5503 Naumburg Lane, Castorland, was arrested Thursday by village police for allegedly stealing roofing material belonging to his mother.

Police allege he stole the material, worth $1,297, and returned it to Steele’s Ace Home Center, Number Four Road, to pocket a refund.

He was arraigned before Village Justice Patricia H. Yarina on a felony charge of fourth-degree grand larceny and was released on $700 bail to await grand jury action.
