■ DEFERIET — The monthly meeting of the village Board of Trustees has been moved to 6 p.m. on July 11 at the municipal building.

n The temperature in Watertown tied the record high of 89 degrees in the 24-hour period that ended at 8 a.m. Thursday, according to the city water filtration plant. The record was established in 1971.

n GREAT BEND — The Carthage Central School District Board of Education will meet this morning at 7:30 to consider the resignations of the middle school principal and the summer school principal, as well as the appointment of an assistant superintendent. The meeting will be in the Great Bend administrative building conference room.
