Helen J. Bradford, 96, of Rome, formerly of Lowville, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Bethany Gardens. She was born on September 26, 1915, in Sussex, NJ, the daughter of Henry and Emily King Eason. She was a graduate of Middletown High School. On April 21, 1940, Helen was united in marriage to Henry Bradford in Unionville, NY. Mr. Bradford passed away on November 15, 1991.

She was a Librarian for the Hermon Hepburn Library for several years, retiring in 1980.

Helen was a member of the Hermon United Methodist Church where she served on the Board of Directors, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School. She was also a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Hermon Chapter #68 where she was a past District Matron.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Bonnnie Bradford, of Rome, and Henry Bradford, Hermon; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by five sisters, Lillian, Alice, Rose, Mabel, and Dorothy; and three brothers, Henry, Phil, and John.

Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Milford Cemetery, Milford, PA. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made in Helen’s memory to Hermon Methodist Church or the Hermon Hepburn Library. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N.
