The Northern Athletic Conferences four all-state softball selections form a fully-charged batter with three standout pitchers and a very productive young catcher.
The NAC contingent featured three pitchers in fourth team Class D selection Brianna Beaulieu of Colton-Pierrepont, fourth team Class C selection Lindsay Thayer of St. Lawrence Central and fifth team Class B selection MaKenzi Stevenson of Ogdensburg Free Academy.
Catcher Hannah Thornhill of Heuvelton earned her second all-state selection as an eighth grader.
Beaulieu, a senior, fashioned a 13-4 record with a 0.27 ERA and batted .373 with 19 RBIs. Thayer, a sophomore, pitched to a 14-3 record with 1.03 ERA and batted .417 with 21 RBIs and Stevenson, a senior, posted a 13-4 record with a 2.18 ERA.
Thornhill batted .506 with 32 RBIs and stole 19 bases.
The top area selection for the all-state team compiled by the New York State Association of Coaches and Sportswriters for Girls Sports was Alexandrias senior pitcher Jordan Bush who made the second Class D team after pitching tyo a 1.32 ERA and hitting .536 with 38 RBIs.
