Ten Fort Drum soldiers escaped serious injury Tuesday evening when their Humvee crashed on the grounds of the U.S. Military Academy, West Point.
A West Point spokesman told the Middletown Times Herald-Record that 11 soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division were riding in the vehicle about 6 p.m. when it overturned in a field off Route 293. One of the soldiers was taken to Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The group is at West Point to support cadet summer training, the spokesman reported.
