PAROLE VIOLATION - MASSENA - Village police picked up Tapeni J. LaBrake, 29, of 16 1/2 Howard St., Massena, on a parole warrant at 12:18 p.m. Thursday. He was turned over to the Division of Parole and Community Supervision and transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility by state troopers. LaBrake had been sentenced to 1 1/3 to 3 years in state prison for a felony driving while intoxicated conviction in December 2009 in St. Lawrence County Court. He had last been released from prison on March 6, 2012. The maximum expiration date of his sentence is July 17, 2013.
LEAVING THE SCENE - MASSENA - Village ticketed Heath J. McLean, 36, of 4 River St., Massena, with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to keep right Tuesday night following an investigation into an incident reported at 3:12 a.m. Saturday. McLean allegedly struck a parked vehicle on North Main Street, leaving damage to the drivers side of that vehicle. The parked vehicle was registered to Jonathan F. Shampine, 24, of 52 Martin St.
